Ian's rain in 2022 flooded streets and homes across Ormond Beach, particularly in low mainland neighborhoods and near creeks and the Tomoka River. Many homes flooded that had never taken water before. Rain flooding is excluded from homeowners policies, and the cleanup follows flood cleanup standards.
